International Human Rights & Indigenous Peoples
Aubrey Legal & Consulting has trained and works in international human rights of Indigenous Peoples. Aubrey Legal & Consulting has extensive experience working on United Nations international multi-lateral treaty body reviews of country states as well as engaging in various mechanisms and mandates at the international level.
Summer Blaze Aubrey has participated in both of the 2022 and 2023 treaty body reviews of the Committee on the Elimination of Racial Discrimination and the Human Rights Committee, respectfully, of the United States' compliance with human rights law. Summer was present in Geneva, Switzerland at the United Nations for both of these reviews and serves as a co-lead for the Indigenous Peoples Working Group to both advocate at the U.N. under these bodies and to implement these international laws in the United States.
Aubrey Legal & Consulting also has experience studying and working in the Organization of American States. Summer has worked on several projects involving the Inter-American Commission on Human Rights and has served as counsel in this forum.
